Master Chief Petty Officer Henry Audette assumed the duties of Command Master Chief for Operational Logistics Command (LOGCOM), Norfolk, Virginia on July 18th, 2022.
MCPO Audette enlisted in August 1996 and attended basic training at Cape May, N.J. Upon graduation, orders were issued to USCGC MANITOU (WPB 1302), home ported in Miami Beach, Fla. He then served onboard the following: First Lieutenant/Operations Petty Officer, USCG Station Georgetown, S.C.; Buoy Deck Supervisor/Deck Watch Officer, USCGC BRISTOL BAY (WTGB 102) with USCG Barge (CG 1002), home ported in Detroit, Mich.; Executive Petty Officer; USCGC CORMORANT (WPB 87313), home ported in Ft. Pierce, Fla., where he earned his Officer in Charge certifications for Multi-Mission afloat and ashore, and Aton afloat and ashore.
In 2008, he received orders to become the Officer in Charge USCG Aids to Navigation Team (ANT) Ft. Pierce, Fla., and in 2011 he received orders for his second command, Officer in Charge of USCG ANT Ft. Macon, N.C. In 2014, he received orders for his third command onboard USCGC ANVIL (WLIC 75301), home ported in Charleston, S.C. Upon completion of being an Officer in Charge, he was selected to become a Command Master Chief, where he served as the Sector Key West CMC and his second CMC tour was at Joint Interagency Task Force South.
During his distinguished career, MCPO Audette received the following awards: Department of Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Coast Guard Meritorious Service Medal with “O” device, Coast Guard Commendation Medal with “O” device (five awards), Coast Guard Achievement Medal with “O” device (two awards), Letter of Commendation with “O” device, Presidential Unit Citation, Joint Meritorious Team Commendation, CG Meritorious unit Commendation with “O” device, CG Meritorious Team Commendation (six awards), Good Conduct Medal (eight awards), National Defense Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Humanitarian Medal, 9-11 Transportation Ribbon, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Special Operations (five awards), Sea Service Ribbon (four awards), Coast Guard Rifle Ribbon, and Pistol Ribbon.
MCPO Audette also earned the permanent Cutterman Insignia, Coxswain Insignia, and Advanced Boat Forces Insignia. MCPO Audette is a graduate of the Chief Petty Officer Academy class CLXI, Senior Enlisted Leadership Course in New London, Conn and Keystone at the National Defense University in Washington D.C.. Furthermore, he holds a Masters 100 TON Captains License, is a certified Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Trainer, a Command Financial Specialist, and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from the University of Arizona Global campus.
