Historical Information:
- Virtually no information exists regarding Long Point Light .
- It was deactivated in 1901 and the keeper’s quarters were moved to the Currituck Light Station on the Outer Banks of North Carolina in the 1920’s. At that site it was so overgrown no one knew it was there until renovations began.
- It now serves as the museum gift shop.
