Remarks:
Chicamacomico Life Saving Station, Rodanthe, North Carolina was decommissioned in May 1954 as an active Coast Guard Station. It was deeded to Mrs. Lurania Midgett on December 5, 1967. The buildings were disposed of by the GSA in 1968
Keepers:
Benjamin S. Pugh was appointed on DEC 4, 1874 and left the service in 1877.
Banister L. Midgett Jr. was appointed on SEP 30, 1879. He transferred to New Inlet Station on JAN 27, 1888.
Josiah H. Wescott was appointed on JAN 27, 1888 and transferred to the New Inlet Station on APR 12, 1894.
Banister L. Midgett was again appointed on APR 12, 1894 and was still serving in 1915
