Remarks:
The Commonwealth of Virginia granted a patent to the U.S. of land where the station was situated.
Keepers:
Abel Belanga was appointed keeper on 3 JAN 1879 and drowned on 8 JAN 1887.
William A. Payne was appointed keeper on 13 JAN 1887 and transferred to Station Seatack on 20 MAY 1891.
John W. Partridge was appointed keeper on 20 MAY 1891 and transferred to Station Seatack on 20 FEB 1900.
Otto V. Halstead was appointed keeper on 21 FEB 1900 and was dismissed on 27 JUL 1905.
Edgar Chadwick was appointed keeper on 14 AUG 1905 and transferred to Station Virginia Beach on 31 OCT 1907.
John W. Partridge was appointed keeper on 22 OCT 1907 and was still serving in 1915.
