Turned over to the GSA in 1965. Transferred to the Fish and Wildlife Service in 1966.

Remarks:
Station was established in 1878 but until 1886, the U.S. had no title to the land on which the station was located.
Keepers:
Sealom Bloxom was appointed on DEC 10, 1878. On FEB 2, 1895 the Department discontinued Bloxom’s services upon notification.
Joseph M. Feddeman was appointed on FEB 21, 1894. He was transferred to Assateague Beach Station on OCT 3, 1901.
John B. Jones was appointed on OCT 3, 1901. He was transferred to Ocean City Station on NOV 5, 1906.
George F. Reynolds was appointed on NOV 12, 1906. He transferred to Wallops Beach Station.
Albert W. Dunton was appointed on OCT 3, 1911. He served until 1915.
George H. Bromely (acting) was appointed in 1915. He was still serving in 1915.
