Remarks:
Prior to 1881 there is no record of a conveyance of land to the Government for a life-saving station. The station was also referred to as Locke's Point.
Keepers:
Rufus WN. Philbrick was appointed keeper on 16 October 1874 and resigned probably in September 1882.
George B. Caswell was appointed keeper on 5 September 1882 and resigned on 10 March 1884.
Albert L. Remick was appointed keeper on 10 March 1884 and was still serving in 1915.
CWO (L) George B. Ricker was listed as the CO in 1929.
