Remarks:
Prior to 1885 a house of refuge had been located near Eholsen. Also called Ludlam’s Beach.
Keepers & OICs:
David Townsend was appointed on 22 November 1872 and left the service in 1875.
John M. Townsend was appointed on 12 November 1875 and left the service in 1877.
George Sayres was appointed on 12 December 1877 and resigned due to physical reasons on 19 September 1893.
John S. Cole was appointed on 28 October 1893 and was promoted to Superintendent of the 5th District on 10 April 1912.
Aaron Smith was appointed on 8 May 1912 and was still serving in 1915.
CBM (L) W. C. Holmes was the OIC in 1929
