Keepers:
Joseph Brown was appointed in 1856. It is unknown when he left the service.
Samuel Perrine, Jr. was appointed on November 22, 1872 and left the service in 1877.
Joel H. Ridgeway was appointed on February 18, 1878 and resigned due to physical reasons on August 16, 1899.
Cornelius D. Thompson was appointed on September 30, 1899 and was still serving in 1915.
Remarks:
Station first built on land which U.S. had no title. Title obtained on April 10, 1911. New site obtained on the bay side Barnegat.
