Remarks:
Keeper Rasmus S. Midgett was awarded a Gold Lifesaving Medal for his rescue on 18 August 1899 while he was a member of the Gull Shoal Lifesaving Station's crew.
Keepers:
Thomas P. Midgett was appointed on DEC 28, 1878. He was removed from service on JAN 11, 1882.
Israel B. Midgett was appointed on JAN 3, 1882. He was dismissed from service on SEP 11, 1890.
David M. Pugh was appointed on OCT 3, 1890. He transferred to Fort Macon Station on SEP 23, 1904.
Zora G. Burrus was appointed on SEP 17, 1904. He was dismissed from service for physical reasons on APR 22, 1911.
John A. Midgett Jr. was appointed on MAY 3, 1911 and was still serving in 1915.
