Remarks:
This station was built in 1891-1892 on a site "west twelve and three-quarter miles of Point Judith Light; east eight miles of Watch Hill Light." It was extensively repaired in 1920. The station was listed as inactive in 1938 and disappeared from the records in 1939.
Keepers:
The early keepers were William F. Saunders (appointed December 2, 1891 and found physically unfit on November 20, 1901), Thomas T. Saunders (December 14, 1901 until he resigned on December 18, 1905), Howard Wilcox (December 14,1905 until his reassignment to the Watch Hill station on November 13, 1916), George W. Streeter (July 8, 1918 until reassigned to the Brenton Point station on March 15, 1926), and Albert Rohdin (from the Brenton Point station on March 15, 1926, he served until he retired on November 17, 1928). Next, Chief Petty Officer Arthur E. Larkin is shown as being in charge in 1928; he was commissioned on October 10, 1930. He was reassigned to the Watch Hill station on April 15, 1933 and was relieved by Amos E. Broadmeadow, who was reassigned from the Third District Office and served until his retirement on August 1, 1935. Next was Arthur E. Larkin (from the Old Harbor station on January 17, 1936 until reassigned to the Point Judith station on July 15, 1937).
