Station Sheep's Head Bay, New York
Sheep’s Head Bay (east end Coney Island):
A station named with this entry appears in the records and is listed as a station in the 1876 listings. The record of keepers lists Cornelius Van Nostram as being appointed at the age of 65 (an "experienced surfman") on July 6, 1869 and removed on February 28, 1878. William H. Moschelle (a fisherman and a sailor) was appointed at the age of 43 on October 30, 1878. No further records exist and the station was not listed in the 1878 listing of stations. However, Coney Island station was listed, and the name may have been changed.
