Coast Guard history:
This harbor vessel served in the waters off the coast of Washington State. On 16 November 1899 "vessel to be known as No. 1 and attached to GRANT." On 13 April 1901 "vessel to be known as GUARD, with headquarters at Port Townsend, Washington." On 25 January 1902 "vessel to be known as No. 1 and attached to GRANT."
She was sold for $603 and was replaced with a vessel by the same name.
