Original caption reads - "Coolidge are luncheon guest of Saturday Evening Post publisher aboard yacht in Potomac [River]. President Coolidge on board the Mayflower barge leaving for the yacht of Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus H. K. Curtis where he was luncheon guest with Mrs. Coolidge today. Mr. Curtis is the millionaire publisher of the Saturday Evening Post and a prominent Republican." The photo in fact depicts the USCGC Northland with Coolidge aboard. The cutter escorted the Presidential yacht Mayflower and POTUS came aboard for a visit prior to his luncheon. Northland had just been commissioned.
